    1. The camera didn't capture all the colors he had. He looked like he belonged on the coral reef. This could be my first time catching a longear sunfish though, so maybe a lot of them are this vibrant.

    1. Thanks for commenting, Kevin. It was a gorgeous fish. I actually spent about an hour trying to identify the fish. I think it is a longear sunfish. The only real difference between longears and pumpkinseeds is the ring of white or blue around the spot on their gill operculum.

  4. No Todd, I don't think you're selfish at all. It just reminds me of the picture on the front of the book.

I asked my mom (Mom Mom) if she saw this picture and she said, "I really like his blog".

    1. I was just kidding. That is all I really remember from the book. I think I need to hear that people read this more often. I tend to lose motivation if I think no one is listening.

  5. Hey, why aren't you blogging? Read your last comment on this post. You didn't lose motivation, did you? People are listening. Aren't you fishing?

  6. I have lost interest. It took me too long to write simple posts and I wasn't getting enough enjoyment out of blogging. The time I spent trying to write could be more productive elsewhere. I am pretty much done fishing for the year... my hands don't like the cold too much.
